Mercer Island has a longstanding tradition of supporting our students and schools. This support is realized through volunteers, contributions of talent and resources, and organizations which make Mercer Island schools the strong and successful. Beyond school, our students also have a positive impact on our Island community.
Parent Teacher Associations PTAs on Mercer Island enrich student experiences by funding programs, organizing events, supporting teachers, and building strong school communities through parent involvement and volunteer efforts.
Every family with a student in a Mercer Island School District school is automatically part of the school’s PTA community. Whether you're new to the district or have been here for years, your involvement—big or small—helps strengthen the partnership between families, schools, and educators. While the district delivers the core academic experience, PTAs across Mercer Island play a vital role in enriching the school experience for every student —bringing additional programs, events, and resources that strengthen school communities and support every student.
